INK, STAMP, SHARE – 3D Project

Hello and Welcome back to our Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop, joining myself Sandra here in Norfolk, UK and other fellow Demonstrator colleagues around the globe.

This month our theme is to create a ‘3D Project’.

For todays ‘Blog Hop’ I am sharing with you products from the Sail Away Suite. This compliments the High Tide stamp set in previous catalogues.

On a previous trip to Ikea, I purchased a pair of NYTTJA 14x14cm (5 1/2 x 5 1/2″) navy frames, not really knowing what I would be using them for, until now.

I started with a plain piece of Whisper White card 14x14cm (5 1/2 x 5 1/2″) and attached a piece of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper of the same size.

Next, I raided my Mixed Media tub for a piece of DIY sandpaper and cut a piece 14x5cm. I tore along the top third along the long width of the piece. Adhere these in place, along the bottom and sides only, to allow for other embellishments to be tucked in.

Cut a 14x5cm strip of Designer Series Paper, tear along the top edge and adhere just behind the sand paper.

Cut one die-cut ships wheel and attach to card as shown. Next I stamped and die cut an anchor, stamped on scrap of Whisper White card in Night of Navy ink, stamping in the bottom left hand corner.

Stamp a lighthouse and large & small sailing ships in Night of Navy ink on Crumb Cake card. Die cut these with the appropriate images.

To finish your frame, stamp some birds from the Sail Away stamp set, in Night of Navy along the top. Stamp the sentiment and die cut using the tag type die.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and that you enjoy the rest of your ‘hop’ around the globe.

Please leave me a quick comment before clicking on the ‘Next’ button and hopping to Tricia’s Blog to see a preview of the lovely projects she has to share with you today!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back here soon.

  1. beautiful – think that suite of products will turn out to be one of the best SU have ever done. Thank you for sharing

  2. Sadly, I’ve just looked on IKEA website and these frames are no longer available. Will be searching for a similar replacement.
