It’s that time of year again when, when twice a year, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators can register to attend a bi-annual On-Stage Convention. When we get together, swapping is always a great way to meet new Demonstrators and swap a piece of our artwork with each other, whether a card front, a small 3D item with maybe chocolate inside, or something completely different ……anything goes ! The only rule is that we must use current Stampin’ Up! products for our sharing.
It’s all about sharing…..
For our Local last weekend, we were back in Telford, UK at the International Convention Centre. I opted to participate in three ‘organised’ swaps of smaller groups, making full card swaps instead of just card front samples.
The first of my organised swaps were with a group of Demonstrators I originally met at a Stampin’ Up! Business Angels (SUBA) Training event with two of our peers, and have continued to participate in their Blog Hops as often as I can.
Firstly, I created some base cards using Mango Medley card #147013, plus a few in Highland Heather #147010, Calypso Coral #124392 and Pear Pizzazz card #131290. Some Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies #148551 were cut from Whisper White card #106549 for the card toppers.
The stamps I used are Forever Lovely #150580 which I purchased as a ‘bundle’ with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies, saving 10% buying both together.
Next I reached for my fabulous Stamparatus #148187……I wouldn’t be without this Tool, as it gives perfect stamping results every time and really makes multiples like this an absolute breeze ! I refer to it as a crafting staple now and try to use at least once in each class.
The floral image was placed on my card and picked up on the Stamparatus plate and stamped in colour coordinating with my card bases. The leaf images were then lined up over the top of the stamped floral image and picked up on the reverse of the plate. A great feature with our
Stamparatus are the removable plates, giving FOUR sides to use but additional plates can be purchased too !
Linen Thread #104199 was wrapped round the decorated layer and tied with a bow. On a scrap of Whisper White card #106549, I stamped a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings #146664 (W) #146667 (C), cutting with the Classic Label punch #141491, before mounting on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals #144108.
Every card needs a ‘bit of bling’ and so to complete my finished cards, I added a few Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220.
Thanks for stopping by this morning and be sure to stay tuned over the next few days to see other swaps from the weekend :-).
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project today and have fun hopping round the rest of my Demonstrator friends, seeing their inspiration. Simple click on the ‘NEXT’ button below and continue your journey.
