Hello and Welcome !
Today is my first month joining my lovely Demonstrator colleagues at Inspire, Create, & Share (I.C.S.) monthly Blog Hop. I have recently admired some of their work, with participating friends from other mutual bops and now today I am pleased to be joining them. A big warm English welcome to you.
Today you will be able to hop around the globe, as we share creative projects from our ‘Favourite Bundle’ from the new Annual Catalogue. Immediately I saw the ‘birds nest’, I could see it being used as a wreath !
My base card was Thick Whisper White card #140490 with an Early Espresso card layer, followed by a panel from In Good Taste Designer Series Paper #152494.
Reinker Technique
I used Shaded Spruce #147165, Old Olive #100531 and Pear Pizzazz #131160 Classic Stampin’ Reinkers, dotted on a folded wet wipe, to create a nice variegated effect. Originally I placed on the lid of my wet wipe caddy lid, but this had ridges in the bottom, so moved onto my Silicon Craft Sheet #127853.
Use the ‘nest’ from Birds & Branches stamp set, stamp into your faux ink pad and stamp onto regular Whisper White card #106549. You will need to stamp a few times onto ‘ink pad’ to get good coverage.
Stamp ‘bird’ in Early Espresso onto scrap of Whisper White card and die cut with corresponding Die. Place on the card in a circle to form a ‘wreath’.
Colour robin’s breast using your choice of red Stampin’ Blends, plus the Colour Lifter #144608 to blend out the edges. Colour a small Pearl Basic Jewel #144219 using a Black Sharpie pen.
The fir cones from Beautiful Boughs #150661 were Die cut from Soft Suede #119982 and Early Espresso card #121686 and mounted on the wreath. Add some Shimmery Crystal Effects #150892, Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels #146924 and a festive sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas #150513.
Colour a length of Whisper White ribbon from Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack #153620, using Cherry Cobbler reinker #119788. I use an old Wink of Stella Glitter Brush #141897. This is a great way to get a lot more use from your empty brush, adding a drop of water and shaking to wash any Shimmer Paint residue. Our Heat Tool #129054 will speed up the drying process and make sure fully dry before placing on card !
