Hand-Penned Floral card
You may have joined me from Shirley’s Blog or as one of my followers, either way I’m sending you a big warm English welcome. For my project today, I have chosen the Hand-Penned stamp & Penned Dies, to create a Thank You card.
Well ‘Hello’ New In-Colours!
Seeing these for the first time, I absolutely loved the strong, bright colours and was impressed with how well they worked together.
Using the Penned Flowers Dies #155557, I die-cut a stitched scalloped edge in each of the FIVE New In-Colours. Placing my Basic White #159229 mat layer onto my Grid Mat, made lining up the strips really easy to keep straight, adhering with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue #154974.
The sentiment was stamped below the strips and then panel attached to a Thick Basic White base card #159230, leaving a small narrow border.
Next up was my floral image from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set. Inking up in Tuxedo Black Memento ink #132708, I stamped and die cut my floral focal image.
I coloured the floral image using Stampin’ Blends Duo in Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party, and Colour Lifter, with the Pool Party Stampin’ Blend just lifting the edges and centre.
I thought the flowers looked a bit flat so my faithful Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush #141897 to add a bit of bling. A bit hard to see in photos, but it’s sparkling in real life!
