A Floral Birthday card is always great to have on hand and definitely one I tend to need to create the most of. So sit back and let us inspire you with today’s Birthday themed ‘Hop’ around the globe.
Hand-Penned Floral Birthday card
If you have just joined me from Annette‘s Blog or as one of my followers, a big warm English welcome to you. For my share today, I have been busy creating my Floral Birthday Card using the Hand-Penned 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper #155499.
Quite often crafters need a little inspiration to create a quick card. I love Sketch Challenges and sometimes these are my ‘go to’ for such inspiration.
With a dear friend collected to House & Cat sit whilst we attended a family celebration, I gave her the choice of sketches the group would be creating for my Wing-It-Wednesday last week.
This is a fabulous sketch and shows how the layers can quickly pull a card together.
Sweet Strawberry flowers
The small flowers are from Sweet Strawberry stamp & punch bundle #159523 and are currently being used most days on a project. Remember, purchasing any of our bundles in the Stampin’ Up! catalogues, you will save 10% purchasing both stamps and die/punch together.
The Champagne Rhinestones #151193 are the perfect little addition to the centre of these flowers. If you like these Designer Series Papers, they are part of our July Card & Cuppa project kit. Please contact me for more details or shortly being listed in my classes tab.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my project and have fun on your hop round the rest of the group today. Your next stop is Terri‘s Blog, so click below to see what she has to share with you.

Very pretty card – I just love that paper.
Sandra, I love how you shared the sketch and your interpretation of the sketch! I love the card and the flowers with the rhinestone accents!
I love this stamp set and DSP. Such a pretty card. TFS
Brilliant way to show of paper!! And the combination of the Sweet Strawberry flowers with this gorgeous design is just inspired!! Love this.
Thanks Julia x
So pretty. The colours and the delicate patterns in the paper are simply gorgeous and I love the way you have constructed the sketch.
That patterned paper is so pretty on your card!
Thanks Shirley x
Lovely card! The flower punches are a great idea – they may start appearing frequently on my cards soon. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Terri. I think that flower from Sweet Strawberry is one of the most versatile EVER. A must have set and not just because I love strawberries ! LOL
The layers of DSP give an added dimension. It seems like you can’t make an ugly card with that paper!
I LOVE this paper, I hope that I never make an ‘ugly’ card!
Beautiful! I wouldn’t have thought to pair the Strawberry Blossoms with the Hand-Penned Suite, but oh my it totally works!
Love your card and how you combined the strawberry flowers.. Great card.
Thanks Krissi, it’s my favourite flower embellishment in the catalogue I think. Small and delicate …. and a punch !
