Hello and Welcome !
I created this project and wrote post for another Blog Hop. Not only did I get the wrong week because of the time difference with Australia (second Saturday for them became our first Friday), I hadn’t actually signed up for it, even though I had ticked in my planner ! So a quick edit and I’m still sharing with you now.
My card features First Frost stamp set #148913 and Frosted Bouquet Dies #147895 with an colouring/inking technique. It features using our water-based Stampin’ Write Markers (please don’t use permanent or Blends, alcohol ones etc)
I took my Night of Navy and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers from Many Marvellous Markers #147154. Using the larger brush end, I coloured the red rubber on the stamp using the Navy on the Flowers and Garden Green in the stems and leaves.
This first image was then stamped ‘neat’ just as it was. Sometimes you might need to ‘huff’ on it to freshen the inks slightly, depending on how fast you work !
One colouring of the stamps like this, can do several more images, without touching your pens again!
I always keep a Stampin’ Spritz bottle #126185 with a fine mist, filled with water near my craft area. With a gentle misting, I stamped the 2nd image, repeating twice more to create the 3rd and 4th images.
My base card is Seaside Spray #150889, from the 2019-2021 In-Colour Collection #149702. Using the Seaside Spray Classic Ink Pad #150085, I stamped the sentiment 3 times before reinking, moving very slightly lower each time to give a shadow effect, inking and repeat to the bottom of the card.
To finish, my stamped image was die cut using the Frosted Bouquet Dies #147895, before layering onto a Whisper White card #106549 card layer and then Night of Navy card #106572 layer.
I love this technique and am using this in my Stamp-A-Stack style classes during February and hope you are enjoyed seeing this technique today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back here soon.
