SDBH – What’s ‘New’

Hello and Welcome to the monthly Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month’s theme is ‘What’s New’, which has so many possibilities! We start with a ‘new’ updated Blog Header, a New Year 2021, gorgeous new January to June Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogues containing products to earn for free … and that’s just for starters.

You are currently visiting Sandra here in Norfolk, UK and I hope you enjoy my project today.

Whiskey Business

‘New’ today for me is my Whiskey Business #152550 un-mounted and un-inked stamp set. My husband is a Whiskey drinker and I purchased this set with him in mind. When it came to his birthday, I couldn’t find it … until I was packing away Christmas stamps!

First things first … I needed to get those stamps mounted!

I like to start by gathering my supplies. As I couldn’t decide which colour combination to use for the background, I had a bit of a ‘play’ first and got approval from hubby from a choice of three combinations.

My Best Plaid Builder Dies #152720, is another ‘new’, creating my first ‘plaid’ for today’s ‘hop’, having only cut one grid for another project when it first arrived.

The colours I finally chose for the plaid panel were Crumb Cake base, with the heavier plaid in Mossy Meadow and two of the thinner grids in Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black.

I stamped the Whiskey Decanter and Whiskey glass onto a small piece of Whisper White card, using Memento Black ink.

Stamped images were coloured using a selection of Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pool Party, Ivory and Basic Black Blends. Images were then cut by hand using my super sharp Stampin’ Up! Paper Snips.

I hope you have liked my card today and enjoy your trip around the Globe , seeing all the other wonderful creations by other Demonstrator colleagues.

    • Thank you for commenting so early. For some reason I can’t see it’s ‘Live’ even though it’s saying it is ? At least I know it is … somewhere!

  1. Oh how wonderful your masculine card is. I love that you incorporated the plaid background into your card. It really makes the bottle and glass from Whiskey Business pop out. Think I’ll hang on to this idea for my hubby’s birthday. I know he’d love it too.
