Bubble Wrap Inking Technique

This is a favourite inking technique of mine for creating inky backgrounds. I love to recycle, saving from parcels received. This was a padded envelope, giving two large internal surface to cut down and use for my projects.

I have used all four of the Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers, together with their coordinating Ink Pads.

Stamping on the Designer Series Paper can totally change the look of your project. Each 6″ x 6″ piece was cut through the centre at 3″, using the front and reverse for different cards.

I cut off the lighter portion of each strip for the sentiment, inking up the bubble wrap and ‘stamping’ on the larger portion.

The Medium Daisy Punch was punched four times from the Whisper White mat layer underneath. I took a small piece of sponge to ink the edges of the daisies and attached together, slightly offset, using Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive. I curled the edges of the daisies using my Bone Folder, to add some dimension.

The stems were thin sliver of Basic Black card with Granny Apple Green used with the Granny Apple Green card. I just didn’t think that the other colours worked with coloured stems!

The Basic Black background and Whisper White layers provide a perfect backdrop to these beautiful colours to bounce off.
