Who’s thinking about Valentines Day yet ?

Welcome to today’s Hop today with our Global Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends, sharing our Hugs/Love themed projects. Sadly, my Snail-It bundle is still in transit so I have created this quick ‘masculine’ Valentine’s card, featuring the Heart Punch Pack #151292 which can be found on p168 in the Annual Catalogue. It’s unlike me to be this far ahead!

When planning my projects, I always start by gathering suitable coordinating supplies together and appropriate card colours.

I decided with these papers, to cut my base card from half a sheet of Seaside Spray card #150889, cutting a layer of Night of Navy card #106577 for a mat layer.

Using my Heart Punch Pack #151292, I punched the scallop hearts from the mat layer of card, before adhering down with my Tombow and then adding a top layer of Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper #155222. Two of the smaller heart were punched from a scrap of Seaside Spray card, then attached onto the coordinating Night of Navy hearts.

The Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper #155222 is one of the FREE items available during Sale-A-Bration, till the end of February. Any regulars, please remember that SAB is only two months this month but there’s a reason to be happy …. we’re getting another two months in July/August. That is actually a ‘bonus’ month for collecting freebies !

A piece of Seaside Spray Scallop Linen Ribbon #149707 was attached across the card, using our Mini Glue Dots #103683 each end and centre. Never use Tombow on ribbons as it will ooze through and not look nice.

I attached the heart on the left of my card using Tombow adhesive and the the second was attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430. My sentiment words were then Die Cut from scraps of Whisper White card #106549, using Word Wishes Dies #149629, making sure to save the ‘dot’ on the ‘i’ as its tiny!

Lastly, when I was happy with the placement, I attached the sentiment using Tombow adhesive, through the centre of my card.
