Today is all about sharing our Fun Masking Techniques
I’m joining our talented Stamp ‘N Hop Global Demonstrator Team, sharing our Masking Techniques and I’m bringing you one of my favourites.
If you have just joined me from Rebecca Jo’s Blog or as one of my followers, a big warm English welcome to you.
I started by placing a card layer on my Grid Paper to keep straight. Applying a long Post-It Note along two different lines, leaving a gap the width you wish for your inking panel.
Choose some colour inks to create a background. Here I’ve chosen some sunset shades using a ‘sneak peak’ of a few of our NEW 2022-2024 In-Colours, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet.
With the Post-It Notes gently removed, I was left with a lovely solid band of inked colour, with beautifully straight edges.
I placed the panel in my Stamparatus, lining up the stem on one plate and stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. If you like to ensure a more solid image, simply ink and stamp a few times.
Turning over the plate, I lined up the two blooms, again inking and stamping a few times to give a more solid image.
I repeated for the sentiment, again using my Stamparatus plate, inking and stamping again a few times, to create a more solid image.
My finished panel was matted onto a piece of the NEW upcoming In-Colour Sweet Sorbet card leaving a very narrow border. For my 2nd matt layer, I cut a layer of the NEW upcoming In-Colour Starry Sky card and attached to the centre of a Thick Basic White card base. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of my decorated panel, to attach to the base card and layer.
The lovely clean and simple lines of this style of card are one of my favourite techniques. Can you see another ‘sneak peak’ in my project today ? For those ‘eagle-eyed’ viewers … can you see another NEW product from the NEW upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. Stampin’ Up! allow Demonstrators to pre-order a small selection of products a month early. This has enabled me to give you a ‘sneak peak’ of one of my favourite stamp & die bundles, Sending Smiles.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today and that you learn some new techniques along the way. Enjoy your hop round the rest of the group, clicking on the ‘NEXT’ button below to see Victoria’s project she is sharing with you.
